Philosophy on Exercise
To find out more about me, check out my personal blog page at: http://perfectlyfitonline.blogspot.com/. Where I discuss life’s perils of balancing fun vs being healthy, plus some fun adventures and life lessons learned along the way.
Whether your focus is on maintaining functional strength with a high level of competitive athleticism or simply preventing falls, exercise is an extremely important component for slowing down the aging process. A generic exercise routine is not enough; it has to be the right kind of exercises, with the right emphasis on select areas that will establish proper balance in your body. Repetitive, incorrect exercises actually break down the body, making it weaker and tighter, thus increasing the risk of injury. I equate exercise to food, yes, you can eat Doritos and pizza to survive and, yes, you can do any old kind of exercise to get in shape. But let’s face it, the end result is not going to be what you had in mind. Proper nutrition is essential for supporting a healthy body, as is proper exercise, which in turn will prevent imbalances, injury and deformity.
